20th Century Boys is a manga created by Urusawa Naoki, which also creates the manga Monster. This two title were wrote alongside.

This manga is based on T-Rex's Song "20th Century Boys" and make many reference to rock music and the year 1960s to 1970s

The story itself is about young boys in year 1969, Kenji Endou, Otcho, Yoshitsune and Maruo, where they build a secret base in a field to share manga and stolen porn magazine and also listen a radio. Otcho then draws a symbol for the base that represent their friendship. After that the gang added two member, Yukiji and Donkey. The gang then make an imagine future scenario where the villain destroy the world and the boys stood up and fight. This scenario then labeled as The Book Of Prophecy.

The story then goes to late 1990s, where Kenji already grown up and taking care of his niece Kanna. His calm life then change since he met a large cult led by an only man called himself "Friend" (Tomodachi). This cult has plan to destroy the world on New Year's Eve 2000 (The Bloody New Year's Eve).

The events that later happens is suspected close with the detailed plan in the Book of Prophecy, Kenji than gather his old childhood friends, Otcho and Yoshitsune, while Donkey already committed suicide in the early part of the story.

As per request, I will do a small review on the Actor Nishikidou Ryo, an actor and member of two boyband, one is a seven member enka modern group from Kansai, Kanjani8 and the other is a six member musical group called NEWS.

Nishikidou himself is already a member of NEWS when he joined Kanjani8 as they making their debut on 2004, and both group is under the same management, Jhonny & Associates.Nishikidou also had a solo concert in 2006

As if being a singer plus song writer and dancer wasn't enough for him, Nishikidou also debut as an actor in 2004.
He's active in TV drama's and play a major role.Some of them even make him got award for his acting skill.
For example, his acting in as Kuwahara Kazuto in Teruteru Kazoku (2004) gave him the award as Best Newcomer in 7th Nikkan Sports Drama Grand Prix.

In Indonesia, Ryo is famous for his role on 2005's television dorama Ichiritoru No Namida (1 Litter of Tears) as Haruto Asou. the man that loves and stay on Aya's side until her death.

Although the tv series was a big hit in Asia, but it was his acting skill in as Oikawa Sosuke in Last Friend (2008) which gave Ryo not only one but three award as Best Supporting Actor from Nikkan Sport Award, Television Drama Academy Award and Life Annual Drama Award. And not only that, his next role in Ryuusei no Kizuna (2008) and Othros no Inu (2009) was given him another award for Best Supporting actor.
All of this has proven the quality of his acting skills.

Nishikidou Ryo was born in Hyogo, November 3rd, 1984 and raised in Osaka. He has two elder brothers and one younger sister.

In March 2009, Ryo cause three cars having damage in their bumper on a car accident in Roppongi, the police said that Ryo had been careless in taking his eyes of the road.

In Japan, there's some long consecutive holidays. One of them is the Golden Week.

Well you probably have heard in anime or game, the terms of Golden Week, but did you know what Golden Week is..

Well then, Golden week started from April 29 to May 5, and it could get more long if the holidays got overlap with Sunday, and it means the next Monday is holiday.

Although the supermarket is still open, but many tourist spot will be crowded, so pick your choice.

Anyways... Golden week is several national holiday that combine together, and they are... (drums)

1. Showa Day on April 29th, this is the birthday of the former emperor Shouwa.

2. Constitution Memorial Day on May 3rd, the day when the new Japanese Constitution was put on effect on the year 1947

3. Greenery Day on May 4th, Midori no Hi, the day the Japanese people show respect to the nature.

And last but not least..

4. Children's Day on May 5th, Kodomo no Hi, this is the Japanese Boys Festival, Tanggo no sekku, a day to pray for the healthy grows of boys. On this day, we can see carp streamers hanging outside the house, and the display of the samurai doll, Gogatsu ningyo.
